Five popular saunas in Wakayama where you can stay overnight."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Many people may have an image of Wakayama as being full of nature, with the World Heritage Site Kumano Kodo, the coast of Shirahama and other beaches, and onsen (hot springs) bubbling up all over the place. The wood-fired sauna here is a self-sauna where you can do everything yourself, from chopping the wood, to making the fire, to the waxing and aroma oil selection. It is a popular topic of conversation as you can create a sauna to your own liking!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aroma oils available are a unique Wakayama line-up. The water bath is a cedar bath made from 100-year-old Kishu cedar trees. Here you can enjoy the \u2018hot water for beautiful skin\u2019 of alkaline simple spring water, an open-air bath facing the Yamada River and a sauna. The outdoor baths are surrounded by the murmur of the river and the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from the sauna in the main building, there are also two private Finnish saunas, the Taki no Sauna Hut and the Mori no Sauna Hut, which can be used by men and women! Here you can also self-launch and dive into the natural water bath, the clear stream of the Yamada River. In this sauna hut, you can also enjoy a Goemon bath and a cypress bath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the attraction of this hot spring is the sauna rice! The ramen and tsukemen noodles that can only be found at Strike Ken Ninomaru Onsen Branch are very popular. Enjoy the soup made with soy sauce from Yuasa and Arita, the birthplace of soy sauce brewing, and add some grape sansho, which Aritagawa Town, where Ninomaru Onsen is located, produces the largest amount of in Japan, as a condiment to change the flavour.
